Hmmm. What happened to those chocolate biscuits with the suspicious looking raisins in them? You know the ones the Easter Bunny left.... I was sure I left them right here.

I've been on a baking frenzy - thought you might like some...
*sets down a plate of blackforest gateau wedges and cherry crumble cake slices*

here's some blackberry wine should you be thirsty also

p.s. I am seriously thinking of making some blackberry wine this year - we get so many blackberries and my other half has great childhood memories of his grandfather making it. We've no idea what we are doing, but let's hope we make ethanol rather than methanol at least!

Hey guys,

A blast from the past, eh! Like Pesky_Pixie on page 89, just thought I'd pop in to say hello, I hope you're all well. Also like Pixie, I also felt the need to make a cleanish break from HP and HPG, not for any specific reasons but just a need to move on a bit with things. And move on they have!

A short update about me: well, I'm Dr Myf now, all qualified and working as a forensic psychologist and a neuropsychologist. Love being a contributing member of the workforce and a professional. Trying to get a private practice started too, which seems to be looking up - I should be making my first of many court appearances as an expert witness in the next couple of months. Scary!

In other news, I'm getting married - yes, to the Boy - in about 6 months. We're still deliriously happy, it's quite sickening. Early next year we'll move to the UK somewhere (early stages of thinking about this) but only for a short while. Then back to Australia, where we belong.

And really, the rest of my life is running smoothly. I hope yours is too. I'm sorry for running away so abruptly, but I think fondly of you all and somehow it's comforting to know that Madam Puddifoot's is always open for a drink.

Ciao!

If you're looking for trouble you found it.

Oh wow! Dr. Myffy! So happy you've found your place in the great human marathon. Congrats on your upcoming nuptuals.

BTW, I've been pondering whether or not to restart my fanfic, but with you gone it never seemed all that important. Would you like me to finish it for you, or is that done and dusted?

Ooh, engaged, qualified, working... wow! Congratulations on all of it!

Haven't checked in with you lot in a while, so thought I'd update you on what I'm up to, though my news is going to seem very measly after that!

Still working away and enjoying my job, though I'm not keen on the location, so I'm moving to the nearest city asap. It'll mean a bit of a commute, but I'm sure it'll be worth it. Plus I'll be moving in with a friend of mine, so no more house-sharing with random strangers! Hooray!

I was in a minor car accident a couple of weeks ago - through no fault of my own, thankfully. I hurt my back, so I'm off work at the moment, which I'm finding pretty frustrating. It's hard to tell at the moment how long my recovery will take, but I'm banking on it happening sooner rather than later, because I've booked a plane ticket to Vietnam in July and I have no intention of not going, even if it means my friends have to push me around in a wheelbarrow. I'm also hoping to swing by Cambodia and Thailand while I'm at it. Can't wait!

Hope all's well with everyone here! Siobhan and Eeyore - I'm glad you had the chance to meet up again - hope you had a lovely time.

Wow, your lives are so exciting! Congratulations Myf! Travel sounds so fun, Bee!

My "big" news is that school is out and summer camp (week one) is nearly over. Ooooooo!

Saw the new Star Trek movie last weekend. I really liked it. The actors must be slightly insane to take on those roles. They did an excellent job, IMO, though I'm sure there are trekies out there warming the tar and massing the tribbles.

We all seem to wander back here at some point, which is very nice. Congrats to myf - that's all great and exciting news. Why the UK for a while? Just curious.

Bee, take it easy with your back - that's nothing to mess with.

And everyone else,

I haven't moved on from HP at all; I'm still reading and listening to Stephen Fry read all the books. I'm just not on-line as much.

Terry and I finally saw Star Trek - it was great. I watched the series with him when they had it in reruns, but I think I like the new movie better. I certainly like Chris Pine better than Shatner.

My new favorite movie, however, is UP. I loved it.

Did you know that there are different voices to download for GPS units (I think they are for Garmin)? The female voice on our unit gets a bit hostile when we are "Off route. Recalculating..." so we've been joking about it. Husband found a site that has different celebrity voices (most probably simulated) like Sean Connery. I asked if they had either Patrick Stewart or Alan Rickman (those are the only ones that would tempt me). Of course, if Alan Rickman were our GPS, our gas bill would go sky high and I'd never leave the car. I'd program the unit to drive to Seattle and then drive around town just to tick him off.

13 Days till HBP!
