Given that I read them in one sitting, of course I do! As to what... don't know. Plenty of cups of tea, though.

What's the best way to stop dreading things that a. aren't all that bad anyway and b. are going to happen whether you worry about it or not?

Make yourself busy with things that require you to concentrate on something other than the problems.

Measure twice, cut once. But that's more practical, isn't it.

What do you do if you have a bat flying around inside your house (yes, this happened tonight and we can't find it)?

Let is settle down, then if you can find it, call someone to remove it to a better place. A lot of people around here keep bat houses in their orchards, etc. to keep down on the insect population.

Yay! Emma has her keyboard back just in time to discuss DH!

How do you feel about the nighttime? Like it, afraid of the dark, morning person instead?

I don't mind the night. I'm definitely not a morning person. I'm not afraid of the dark, but I'm afraid what's outside at night in it.

Bat update: Pixie, I live in a more violent household. It showed up again, got swept with the broom, the dog caught it and took it behind the couch and killed it, then proceeded to just stare at it. It's now residing in a plastic bag outside and will go in the garbage tomorrow morning, if a raccoon or possum doesn't get it tonight.

If you could read (anyway you want to take this word) more about one HP character, no matter how insignificant or important, who would it be and why?

A biography of Dumbledore would be ace (how did he learn Mermish?), but I think a book about the almost-character Mafalda Weasley would be excellent.

I hate slugs more. For some reasons spiders don't bother me that much. Sure I don't want them around me but I'm not afraid to move them. The woman I work with is terrified of them and is always getting me to get rid of them for her. But then today she had to get rid of a pigeon that got in the building where I was working because I totally lost it. So we're even.

Is the light closest to you controlled by a wall switch or do you have to turn on the light itself?

Both, Cour. It's a ceiling fan with light so you can turn everything off a the switch or turn just the light or the fan on and off at the ceiling.

I saw a semi-major spoiler on a news site (I wasn't looking for them either) for DH and am upset. Have you been spoiled?

A little bit. Nothing serious. But I'm bracing myself because 2 days seem like a looooooooooooong time.

If it consoles you, sometimes you can know even the ending of a book and still enjoy reading it, no? Because nobody can "spoil" JKR's style and the funny moments and the atmosphere of the book.

Ooooooh, what a tough question! And interestingly, nothing has immediately sprung to mind...I guess unhappiest period in my life was in April 1996, when I wasn't coping too well with, well, everything. Does that answer the question in a satisfactory way?

Yes, thankfully. We really need the rain. Two really intense thunderstorms went through in middle of the night and there is a steady rain right now.

Heehee!

I like thunderstorms, yup. It's dry today! Wonderful after almost two months of rain! It's a beautiful summer day with gorgeous clouds floating in the sky. One advantage of lots of rain is that it isn't hazy and polluted on the dry days (there's more rain coming).

Jinx, Pixie, I owe you a coke, I guess. Great minds think alike, or as my grandpap used to say "Just two damned fools at the same time."

Starling, I like gadgets, but I can't afford them. Sometimes it's quicker and easier to do things the old fashioned way without technology messing it up.

Well I can't get out of work, but I have deliberately not made any plans, which I sort of feel guilty about because one of my best friends gets back from India today and I haven't seen her in a month.
