Dark chocolate cake with buttercream icing. Yummmmm.

Diri, carrot cake is my dad's favorite cake, too. I occassionally eat it, but it's not my favorite. I don't like nuts in my dessert and a majority of people use nuts in carrot cake.

What's your favorite flavor of ice cream?

It varies, but chocolate is usually involved. Today I have a craving for some Bunny Tracks. (Vanilla with chocolate ripple, chocolate chunks, and cherries)

When did you last see fireworks?

Last Independence Day from my yard. They're not having them this year, but I'm going to my aunt's party on the 4th and she said you can see fireworks great from her house. Some local places had them last night, but I just didn't feel like going. I could hear them when I took the dog out last night, though.

If you're American, what are your plans for the 4th? If you're not American, what are you doing for your next holiday?

I'm not American, so I'll be in work on the 4th. I really do want to go to the USA this year. My other half goes quite a bit with work. He has to go to St.Louis again sometime soon and will either fly back from Chicago or NYC - I might try to fit a trip in around then...

Which city should I visit? - Boston, Chicago or New York - they are the ones with direct flights from Ireland.

Hmmm...I'd say Boston, but that's only because I love history. It's also full of Irish people, Gimu, so you might feel at home. My second choice would be Chicago. My last would be New York. For some reason, I don't have a burning desire to see New York City. But if I were picking a major U.S. city to visit myself, I'd go to Washington D.C. I could spend weeks at the Smithsonian and think nothing of it. I regret not going in the 90s when more things were open to the public, but I'd still love to go.

What city would you love to visit?

Seattle. I've heard it's just beautiful there, plus I've always wanted to marvel at the space needle and the like. There's just something cool-sounding about that city.

Is there anything interesting about your hometown?

The man who drafted the Universal Declaration of Human Rights was born in my town. And Louis B. Mayer was born in the city I live closest to.

What city have you always wanted to visit?

Innsbrueck in Austria. I've just always wanted to go there. I lived in Germany for a long time - only 5 hours away and never made it there.

Have you watched Prison Break? If so did you like it? (I love it!)

I haven't seen it. I don't care for prison or mafia shows for some reason.

Have you see the OotP movie yet?

I really have no idea. I don't remember hearing of one, and I've been here a few years.

When was the last time you had a tetnus shot?

15 - I had a vodka and coke at my uncles wedding - I didn't drink until my formal (prom) when I was 17 after that though.

Have you got any of the Harry Potter audiobooks? (I have 1-5 - missing HBP)

I'm exactly the same, Gimu, books 1-5. I just never got around to buying HBP, but I do mean to buy that and DH soon.

What's the last CD you bought?

Food. I have gallstones so I have to keep my eating down.

Based solely on looks:

Can I have neither? Or both? Because I don't actually have an opinion on that. (OK, if pressed, Natasha, but only because I clicked on her image first.)

How can I stem my procrastination? It's got out of control this week.

If you ever find the anwer, Myf, please tell me. I find having a deadline spurs me into action...the day before it arrives.

Diri, I'd pick the second because she looks friendlier. Plus, I have a negative association with the name Natasha.

Do you think we'll all post and keep up with HPG after DH is released and discussed? I have a bad feeling it's going to die from inactivity.

I hope and think we will. We'll always have Inherently Random, the Teashop, and the Stephen Fry thread.

Are you proud of me for being strong enough not to click on the leaked chapter titles thread?

yes, but only because you don't know what's there - they aren't posted there. Yet.

How does a person become disciplined - I am about certain things like work, but my weight just keeps going up and up. I'm 68kgs now - should be about 58... Are you a disciplined person?

In some things. Given what I achieve, it looks like I'm very disciplined, but a lot of it is sheer luck and a little bit of effort. (My weight, though, is problematic at the moment. So I am the wrong person to ask!) Maybe you could treat other things in the same way you treat your work - non-negotiable.

Is it wrong that I'm very very excited about moving out from my sister's house, with her two small children? I feel like a Bad Aunt.

A few spoilers I do enjoy, like the chapter titles, because they don't really give anything away and they're more like teasers than spoilers. But I don't want to know anything concrete that happens, so I'm staying away from pretty much everywhere except here and Leaky for news.

Have you ever dressed up as a HP character?

No, I haven't surprisingly. But I do have a Gryffindor scarf that I knit. When I was student teaching a few years ago I was walking through the elementary school to leave early and I had on my long black wool coat and it was all buttoned up and my scarf wrapped around my neck and some little boy yelled out "Harry Potter" as I was walking down the hall. That's the closest.

How many licks does it take to get to the tootsie roll center of a tootsie pop?
