Too often for my budget (although I suppose the café at the zoo on Sunday doesn't really count, and Ruth paid).

What's the worst restaurant you've ever been to?

Boston Pizza. I know some people who like it, but the one time I went it was disgusting. If they can't even get a fettucini alfredo right I can't expect much from the rest of their stuff. It's possible that I may have just come on a bad day or something, but it was revolting enough to make me never go back.

Nope. I have spring water so I usually don't buy it.

Yum, fettucini alfredo. A little restaurant I go to makes the best with chicken, but you get enough for 5 people.

Do you watch what you eat, or do you eat anything and not care?

I should watch what I eat, I'm horribly overweight, and that's not good with knackered hip joints. But as soon as I start watching what I eat, I get hungry! Waily!

Should I have eaten two home-baked chocolate muffins with my coffee?

If it made you happy

I can't really comment on muffins. They are my greatest weakness.

I try to eat reasonably healthily and then don't stress when I eat the bad stuff. I am not really in favour of excluding lots of things, because then I'd think about it more and want them more. They say 80:20 is the ratio you should aim for. I am fairly confident my eating stats aren't that good.

What does everyone think of my view that the one thing American culture should be really proud of for giving to the rest of the world (and for which the rest of us should be very grateful) is the blueberry muffin?

I completely agree, and for the record, blueberry is the best kind of muffin. God bless America!

Lol, a guy I used to work with always claimed he wanted to be a "male fluffer"--and no I'm not telling you what it is. Google it if you don't know. Bad enough I asked him. Hmmm...my fantasy job would be a hammock tester on some carribbean island. Doesn't that sound like fun!

What is your biggest weakness for eating?

I eat when I'm stressed and when I'm bored... which isn't a good combination while at university (especially combined with the greasy caf food) because I'm always either stressed or bored.

I know what a fluffer is, they don't use them anymore, they use Viagra instead (sez my guru, Stephen Fry).

I'm petrified about the future. I've got no pension, my job is pathetic, I'm living off the savings I'm supposed to use for buying a house/saving for a pension, I will never be able to buy a house, and if Ruth doesn't finish her thesis soon, she won't have a job anymore. I think my only option is to move to Germany or Holland (since living there is cheaper), but I can't, because I can't take Fin.

*panics*

Aaaaaaaanyway.

It depends. When I'm with Ruth, it's usually a slice of bread with honey and one with cheese, when I'm on my own I just grab something random (a Ryvita or something). Oh, and always coffee!

Black trouser socks; shoes off. I have to go back to work in a half hour. Lucky me, I live one block from where I work!

That depends. I work from home, but sometimes home is in Lancaster, and sometimes it's in Stockport. I live about 15 minutes' walk from Fin's school (when I walk on my own, it's more like 25 minutes when Fin's with me).

Yes, but I've never had ones that didn't taste doughy.

I loved Animal, and my favourite skit is the Manah Manah one (closely followed by the Swedish chef and chicken-in-the-basket).

Are you currently procrastinating?

Yes I should be washing up.

Rolf was my favourite muppet. I am convinced his piano-playing ear-waving happy, loveliness is entirely responsible for my particular weakness where long-haired musicians are concerned.

Who was your favourite muppet show guest?

I'm too young. I remember watching the muppets, but the only guest I remember is Whoopi Goldberg, so I have to say her. I used to have a muppets tape though that we always listened to in the car. My favourite was Ozzy Osbourne and Animal doing "Born to be Wild" or Kermit and Miss Piggy doing "She Drives me Crazy".
Oh, and when I was in school our chaplain did lots of muppet voices (he'd bust the muppets out to re-enact the parable of the prodagle son, etc.) and, because our uniforms were green, he'd bring Kermit out and sing "it's not easy being green" near the end of the year.

What was your favourite childhood song that you still know every word and/or dance move to?

When I was a wee one I knew Kylie Minogue's entire debut album off by heart, including dance moves. It was the only album I owned apart from nursery rhyme tapes we got free with Pampers. I still remember quite a lot of the lyrics. My favourite song was Je Ne Sais Pas Pourquoi, which had a video in which Kylie cried in the rain or something. I also did a mean Locomotion and I Should be So Lucky.

What was your first album?
