This is a tradition on our boards. It's really rather simple too. I'll post a question, then the next person who responds will answer the question I asked, then post one of their own for the next person to answer...and so on. It's really fun and you get to know you fellow posters better.

The first question:

Are these new boards rockin' or what?

Baseball really isn't all that big in Australia, so it doesn't enter my radar.

On-key? Nope. Off-key I'm terrific ;)

No baseball in Australia? Yikes, my family couldn't survive there. They're all baseball fanatics.

Only on my computer. I can't afford to play it in real life. I'm terrible.

I went to the cinema (don't call it "the movies" ) on Friday. There was very little to choose from, so I ended up seeing Hard Candy. Most bizarre film ever. Everyone in the cinema was like afterwards.

What are you listening to right now?

O Canada and The Star Spangled Banner. The NHL Stanley Cup playoffs are on television at this moment and they're singing the national anthems right now.

No, but I'll watch it during the Olympics--mainly I don't understand it, unless there's a fight.

What summer film are you looking forward to the most?

I'm looking forward to seeing Pirates of the Carribean 2! (I watched the Stanley Cup Final as well, it was a good game, and a very good series).

I'm irritating myself at the moment, as I've been sitting at the computer for hours and haven't done any work, despite the fact that I'm meant to have a ton of stuff prepared for a meeting I have tomorrow morning. It'd be okay if my lack of work was just affecting me, but it's for a group presentation. I am such a bad group member. Bah.

If you could be anywhere else right now, where would you be?

My mouse finger is in execllent shape.. other than that, Yoga. I've been trying to get back to weight-lifting, as it improves my temper, but I'm a bit short on time.

If you could be (and had to be) someone else for a day (and only a day) who would it be?

George W. Bush, so I could first change a bunch of things by executive order, fire a couple of people , and generally wreak havoc, and then at the end of the day be absolutely thrilled to go back to my mundane, quiet little life.

What's your favorite Jane Austen novel?

Ooh, toughie, I love them all (except for Northanger Abbey which I liked a lot but didn't really get. Maybe I should try rereading it. It's been a few years). If I had to pick a current favourite it would be Pride and Prejudice, with Persuasion a close second. I go through phases of preferring particular ones over the others. Mansfield Park was my fave for a while, but it's slid way down the rankings now. Emma has also had its moment in the sun, though never Sense and Sensibility. Not really sure why.

Um, okay, I've just managed to rattle off all her novels. Told you it was a toughie.

What's your favourite Harry Potter novel?

Wood floors, especially rustic plank flooring that has a distressed look. That way you don't have to worry about destroying it.

Do you have fireflies (lightning bugs) where you live?

(Tsuki's solstice post made me think of this. And I just saw them all through the yard when I took the dog outside tonight. My cousins in Southern California grew up without them.)

Edited sentence back in to make sense with AMC's--never knew people grew up without them. Thought everyone spent summers catching them.
